Product Details
Non-Toxic & Environmentally Safe Creosote Removal! Anti-Creo-Soot is a non-toxic and environmentally safe liquid manganese catalyst that attacks and destroys dangerous creosote and soot. It is safe for fireplace soot removal and creosote removal in all wood, coal and pellet burning appliances including those with catalytic combustors. Any type of creosote removal product shouldn't be used as a replacement for sweeping your chimney. Reduces corrosion in metal and masonry chimneys.
Safe for use with: Wood, coal and pellet burning appliances, as well as gas logs. One quart.
Instructions for Use
When you first use Anti Creo-Soot you should have a small fire and spray approximately 4 ounces or roughly 60 squirts on the walls of the fireplace or stove, on the wood, and towards the flue. For daily use, spray Anti Creo-Soot on the walls of the fireplace or stove, on the wood, and up the flue about 6 to 12 squirts. If your flue is in severe condition with a lot of build up, you should spray Anti Creo-Soot 60 squirts a day for the first week. Once the treatment is finished, you should continue with a small brisk fire for at least 45 minutes. For pellet stoves, apply Anti Creo-Soot daily to the hopper and fire chamber to reduce ash clogging.
Anti Creo-Soot will need the surface stove pipe temperature to reach 300 degrees Fahrenheit before Anti Creo-Soot can activate. Make sure the fire you build is not too hot, so you will avoid overheating in the beginning of creosote control. Make sure stoves with catalytic combustors are set in bypass mode before treatment and roughly 1 hour after treatment. Make sure to never spray Anti Creo-Soot directly on a catalytic combustor. Once the treatment has finished, make sure to thoroughly clean out the stove pipe and chimney flue with the appropriate chimney brush.
