The Drolet Escape 1800 freestanding wood stove provides powerful heating capacity at an affordable price. This large wood stove is capable of producing up to 75,000 BTUs and is able to heat up to 2,100 square feet. The large 2.4 cubic ft firebox is able to hold up to a 20" log and has a burn time of up to 8 hours. This EPA certified wood stove has an optimum efficiency rating of 79% and has a low emissions rating of 2.3 g/h. The non-catalytic secondary combustion is easy to operate and easy to clean out.

The Escape 1800 is a pedestal model wood stove that is equipped with an ash drawer to conveniently clean out the firebox. No need to shovel the ashes out of the stove into an ash pan. Simply remove the ash plug on the floor of the firebox and push the ashes through the ash dump into the drawer. The simple and classic stove design is the perfect fit for any decor.

The large 16" x 9 1/4" glass door is sure to be the focal point when a fire is burning. A powerful optional 130 CFM blower is available to help push the heat across larger rooms. The Escape 1800 is equipped with a heat exchanger that redirects the heat to come through the front of the stove and side panels that reduce the stove's clearance to combustibles.

No bells, no whistles - the Drolet Escape 1800 is simply designed to generate powerful heat without breaking the bank. The Drolet Escape 1800 wood stove also qualifies for the wood and pellet stove tax credit through the end of 2032. See below for more details.

    Quick Connect Thermodisc

The Quick Connect Thermodisc is a great addition when using a blower on your Escape 1800 wood stove. The thermodisc will only activate the blower to run when the stove reaches a certain temperature. If you forget to turn the blower off before you leave the home for a few days, the thermodisc will cut power off to the blower and prevent it from running until the stove is hot again. This is a must for any wood stove with a blower.

The oval adapter can be positioned on either side of the fireplace insert.

    Rigid Firescreen

The Rigid Firescreen allows you to burn wood in the stove with the door open just like an old-time fireplace. Hear the crackle of the wood, watch the flames dance around in the firebox and relax around the wood insert on a cold winter's night. The Rigid Firescreen is easy to install and easy to remove when you are ready to load more wood. The fireplace insert should not be burning with the door open without the firescreen.
