The DuraPlus Firestop Radiation Shield is used when the Class A Chimney Pipe is extending through a ceiling or floor where a support box is not installed. Most commonly used when passing through a second level of a home into an attic space. The Firestop fits on the underside of the ceiling and allows the pipe to safely pass through the joists.
