SuperPro / SuperVent Firestop Joist Shield is used to safely pass the SuperPro / SuperVent chimney pipe through an additional level of the home above the initial ceiling support. The Firestop Joist Shield mounts between the ceiling joist with the plate side pointing down. The Firestop provides the 2 in. clearance necessary for combustible material.
SuperPro and SuperVent models are compatible with each other according to the manufacturer. The 6 in. & 8 in. diameters are the SuperPro model (compatible with SuperVent). The 7 in. diameter is the SuperVent model (compatible with SuperPro).
