The US Fireplace Damper is a premier, top mount style for your chimney. Installing the US Fireplace Damper, is an energy efficient way to prevent any heat or air conditioning loss when the wood fireplace is not being used.
Unlike leaky traditional throat fireplace dampers, the Top Damper Plus has a silicone gasket that ensures the damper is fully closed. Additionally, the premium stainless steel chimney cap provides additional rain protection. The 3/4" stainless steel diamond mesh provides spark protection and prevents debris from entering the chimney when the damper is open. Most important, install only for wood burning masonry fireplaces.

The US Fireplace Top Damper Plus comes with the mounting hardware, 30' cable with handle, and adhesive. Other than a few tools, the Top Damper Plus comes with everything you need for the installation and is backed by a limited lifetime warranty. Moreover, the unique spring system ensures the damper closes securely, even with a chimney with offsets.

US Fireplace Damper Sizing:
Firstly, measure the inside of the masonry chimney opening or clay flue. Secondly, compare your measurements to the chart below to find the damper size that will fit.

Installation of Your US Fireplace Damper

Note: Do not use top dampers with gas logs. Overall, failure to open the damper with gas logs could result in carbon monoxide to back up in the home. Also, in the event of a gas leak & gas is trapped in the chimney, it could result in an explosion.
